Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation
"This training led me to a total paradigm shift in how I think about interacting with indigenous groups both on a personal level and as a government representative. I have a much more thorough understanding of the context and perception of Canadian government that indigenous groups will be bringing to the table and feel much more prepared to navigate introductions and conversations in nation to nation discussions in a positive, respectful and productive manner. Invaluable training for anyone working with indigenous nations or persons." S. L.
Environment and Climate Change Canada
"This course would be beneficial for all Canadians not just those working directly with Indigenous Peoples. It was shocking to learn about so much of our history that I was never taught in school. Our history, or should I say lack of knowledge about it, affects our working relationships and the biases that exist in society today. I have already shared the value of this course with many people." S.
Individual Learner - Ottawa, ON
"ICT delivers effective, practical training on many aspects of working with Indigenous peoples. I attended three sessions on negotiation, preparing an engagement plan and on the United Nations Declaration on Rights of Indigenous People. These have provided me with the knowledge and skills to work more respectfully and successfully with Indigenous People. The ICT training would benefit all people who interact with Indigenous people in Canada from industry, government, NGOs or academia." J.F.
