Following the success of its namesake book, we're happy to offer your Self-Guided option of 21 Things. This course is filled with 21 Knowledge Checks that will help test your knowledge and even provide you with new information relevant to the current day.
Unfamiliar with 21 Things? Well, to summarize its journey, what started as a viral Blog® post turned into a national #1 best-selling book, and has now been developed into our own Self-Guided course! This course examines how Indigenous Peoples can return to self-government, self-determination, and self-reliance - and why doing so would result in a better country for every Canadian.

The intended audience for our training are non-Indigenous learners. Indigenous learners could be triggered by many topics and discussions in the training. The inclusion of Indigenous learners in the proposed training is at your discretion with the understanding that the materials are intended for non-Indigenous learners.
This Self-Guided Training gives you the following:
- 30 days access for up to 30 learners (additional learners available at a reduced rate)
- eBook copies of our 21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act best-seller for all learners
Course length:
- Up to 3 hours (depending on the level of mastery).
- Progress will be saved and can be picked up at a later time (within the 30-day window)
Group Enrolment

Self-Guided and Live-Guided Training Courses
The fee is fully refundable if the training has not been accessed by the learner. Upon accessing the training the fee is non-refundable.
In-Person Training Courses
Our fee is refundable, less a $100 fee if the registration is cancelled between 4 weeks and 2 weeks (10 business days) before the start of the training, or less a $200 fee if the registration is cancelled within 2 weeks (10 business days) of the training date. The registration can be transferred to another location or date - a fee of $100 will be applied.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule training, refuse admission, or change speakers, location, or content.
Books
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
eBooks
Downloadable software products including ebooks are not refundable.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery is not refundable.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at learn@indigenousrelationsacademy.com.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at learn@indigenousrelationsacademy.com and send your item to 2401 Mount Newton Cross Road, Saanichton, BC V8M 1T8.
Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to 2401 Mount Newton Cross Road, Saanichton, BC V8M 1T8.
